Yael Stein, who is Australian living in New York City since 2013 She played Lorna Morrello on Orange Is the New Black. Yael holds a master's diploma from NIDA. Yael despite her young age, has been given the opportunity to learn from Australia's most renowned storytellers. Yael has a very successful career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was delighted to find her new home when Brooklyn Academy of Music, in which the play was staged with critical acclaim, became her new home in New York City. Yael has been a co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery is the Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery promotes new ideas in creative writing, as well as innovative creative projects and assists in the growth of writers in their teens.
